Pineapple Upside Down Cake
A delicious combination of pineapple, cherries, and walnuts. What’s not to love?
Servings: 9 Cook Time: 45 minutes
To a 9 x 13 greased casserole dish, place:
1 stick of Butter
Place in a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven, until the butter has melted. Remove from oven, allow to cool as you begin batter.
In a mixing bowl, add:
1 box Yellow Cake Mix
Follow package directions, replacing water with pineapple juice. Mix on low to incorporate all ingredients. Scrape down sides of bowl. Increase speed to medium and mix for 2 minutes.
In the 9 x 13 casserole dish, add:
½ cup Light Brown Sugar, lightly packed
Stir to combine and evenly spread along the bottom of the dish. Add:
1 20z can Pineapple slices, drained
½ cup Maraschino Cherry, halved
¼ cup Walnuts, broken into pieces
Arrange in a casserole dish to evenly distribute and create the design of your choosing. Cover evenly with batter.
Place into 350-degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes. Loosen sides from the casserole dish. Flip over onto the serving dish to reveal your beautiful design. Serve and Enjoy!
