Snickerdoodle

Total Time: 1 hour and 25 mins

Makes: 20-24 cookies

To a mixing bowl, add:

  • ½ cup Butter, softened

  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar

On medium-high speed, cream Butter and Sugar for 3 minutes. Scrape down sides, then add:

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1/16 tsp Almond Extract (optional)

Cream for 2 minutes longer. Then add:

  • 1 ⅓ cup All Purpose Flour

  • ¾ tsp Cream of Tartar

  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda

  • ¼ tsp Salt

Stir in until just combined. Wrap the dough and chill for 1 hour. In the meantime, to a small bowl add:

  • ¼ cup Sugar

  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

Stir to combine and set aside. Roll dough into small 1” balls and drop into Cinnamon Sugar to coat. Coat balls a second time and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Press down in the center of the balls to slightly flatten dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes. Let cool completely before removing from the cookie sheet. Serve and Enjoy!
